L’Histoire de l’île Auctus animalis (animal augmenté) raconte la transformation de créatures hybrides en étoiles. C’est une fable initiatique sur un bestiaire de chimères prises entre deux monde. Ne trouvant pas leur place sur Terre, les espèces de l’île Auctus animalis vont se transformer en constellations afin de retrouver un équilibre.

Réalisé dans le cadre du prix Swiss Life à 4 mains, Auctus animalis rend hommage au règne animal sous la forme d’un conte.

The Story of Auctus animalis (augmented animal) tells the story of the transformation of hybrid creatures into stars. This initiatory fable gives life to a bestiary of augmented animals with supernatural powers. It is up to the viewer to observe and identify the new qualities of each animal, now caught between two worlds. Not finding their place on Earth, the species of the island Auctus animalis will transform themselves into constellations in order to find their balance. At the crossroads of biology and surrealism, Vincent Fournier plunges us into a world suspended between reality and virtuality that defies scientific realities, and proposes a poetic questioning of the transformation of the living.

Produced as part of the Swiss Life 4 Hands Prize, Auctus animalis pays tribute to the animal kingdom in the form of a tale.
